This is a very annoying virus. Got it from my flash drive. It spreads out in portable media drives so be very careful. My ultimate tip is before you open you're flash drives, scan it first with you're antivirus software or right click the removable drive icon and click "explore" rather than "open or autoplay". I have searched the internet and I havent found a newbie direction of removing this virus so I have made my own user friendly instruction so that people will not have to think for hours just to remove this virus.

Description:
1. Pop-ups Internet browser window with message:

 ”DESTRUKTO 10 uToS nG mAnGinGiNoM”

2. Disables Folder Options, Task Manager, Registry Editor, System Restore and Run.
3. Presence of the following files:

• New Folder.bat\Start Explorar.Vbs
  

How to remove:
1. Download & install replacement software for Task Manager (since it is disabled) such as Process Explorer

2. Download & install an alternative software for Registry Editor (it is also diasbled by destrukto virus) such as mpam4_regedit_xp

3. Reboot computer in SafeMode
    How to reboot in safe mode
    a) During BootUp process Press F8 continuously until selection appears
    b) Use Arrow Up+Down to select SafeMode on the selections menu.
    c) Hit Enter to proceed.

4. Run the downloaded Process Manager and disable the WSCRIPT process. You may disable the processes by right clicking them and choose disable.

5. Using Command Prompt or File Manager go to C:\Windows\system32 and rename WSCRIPT.EXE to WSCRIPT.TMP

6. Run the downloaded mpam4_regedit_xp and do as follows:

Navigate to and delete the subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Exlorer\wendows&\system32\explorar.vbs

As you run the program, folders can be seen in  the left side of the dialog box, follow the registry path below and convert the values of the registries back to their original values before they were infected by destrukto.

Navigate to subkey and modify value:

7. Exit registry editor and restart the computer.

8. By this time you have successfully removed the destrukto virus.

I have used different antivirus programs but this one that I will recommend to you is the best. It detected all the trojans and viruses in my laptop and brother's computer without freezing the computer. It also doesnt slow your computer down. I'm not selling this product or anything, you can download it in any torrent/download site ;-). Just wanna share my experiences with antivirus programs.

Norton - grabe, i hate norton, it slows down my computer. Maybe because it controls all the process of the laptop.

Antivir & Bitdefender & Kaspersky- yes they are top of the line programs, doesnt hang and very good in virus detection, the only problem is they are not free. When this programs became popular, keys in torrent sites cant be used. Maybe the companies have noticed that there are keys on the net that are used for free, haha.

NOD32 -  many reviews says that this is one of the best antivirus ever, maybe yes for scanning but booting up the desktop?maybe no. When I have installed NOD32 ESET in my laptop, whenever I reach the desktop, it just freezes and I cant even click my start menu. I have to put it into safe mode just to uninstall the program.

And here it goes...

The best antivirus ever, for me, is McAfee VirusScan. It has on demand and on access scan. On demand access is the manual detection of viruses. On access, is the automatic detection of viruses, meaning whenver the virus attacks your computer when you insert removable drives, it detects it easily.

Just wanna share to you guys, been having problems with my computer's slight slow speed. Searched the net and found this awesome program. It can fix your computer's registry by removing stuffs that are unnecessary. It found 1567 problems in my laptop and fixed it!

I have just bought my mp4 phone and very glad to see some special features like 2.0mp camera, 2.4in touchscreen screen, 256 mb microflash included, free phone battery, a video player, and its a CTEC phone, a phone made from china, Looked at the country of origin and its from beijing. So i took some pictures and decided to transfer it in my computer. BTW the phone doesnt have bluetooth and infrared features, only thru USB connection. All was well until when im opening the phone drive in the My Computer, it cant be open. You can open such by right clicking it then by selecting autoplay. I have encountered this virus before, and i though its just a worm actually. So i tried to reformat my phone thru the computer and it is still there. Yes, i can transfer files but teh problem is opening the drive. I let it stay as it is since its only the opening function.

The next day, my c and d harddrives cannot be open as they were used to be! Im in a panic mode, looked some numerous websites about my problem. I have scanned with avg and it showed that it is a ravmon .exe trojan virus. Searched sites about it and it took me 5 hours to search for a cure. Until i found these steps:

start menu>run>type cmd
in the cmd prompt type attrib -h -r -s c:\autorun.inf
then type c:\autorun.inf
a notepad will appear, delete all the characters after the = sign
click save
then type in the prompt del c:\autorun.inf

I also did these steps with my d drive and it works after restarting my computer. Hope these steps help with ya all. BTW i have searched information about this ravmon.exe virus, they said it comes from a company from beijing that makes electronic stuff.

P.S. my operating system is windows xp and you may edit your computer thru your own risk, these steps worked with mine though.

I have just restarted my laptop, then BAMM, there are no cd drives detected in my "My Computer" interface. I panicked, and even thought of contacting the supplier of my laptop for the warranty of this thing. I tried to put my external hard drive and yet it cant be detected. So I checked my device manager and looked at my cd drive and it has an exclamation mark beside it.
There's this box saying that "A driver was loaded but Windows cannot find the device. This happens when Windows does not detect a non-Plug and Play device."

I have done the troubleshooting method in this site but it is not effective.

Im having a hard time converting my avi files to dvd since my winavi has displayed this message everytime i click the oncvert button. The error message is being shown:

"WinAVI.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience"

I have tried everything and I mean everything to resolve this problem. I even tried other converters,  but it doesnt surpass the great functionality of winavi. Until i searched a forum discussing the problem. Its not a big forum only few answers the problem same as mine.

The solution is re-installing the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack or install this in your computer. It's free in selected sites. Some codecs are needed to use the winavi converter. In my situation, some of my codecs are corrupted so i have to re-install it. If the problem still persist maybe you have to send a bug report to the winavi hotline in their website.
